Does your relationship with food and your body control your life? Michele has a passion for working with people who are experiencing disordered eating patterns, including overeating, bulimia, and restriction or chronic dieting. She understands that the way we relate to food can be a signal to us that something deeper inside our minds and souls is in need of attention. Michele is pursuing her IAEDP certification as an eating disorders professional. She also has experience working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, adult attachment issues, behavioral addictions, and grief.
Michele is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an effective treatment for resolving trauma. She uses mindfulness and compassion techniques to bring awareness to the present moment and practice letting go of our expectations and judgments. Michele believes that God created us to have emotions for a reason and that they can be powerful teachers if we allow them.
Michele is an approved member of the Registry of EMDR Therapists for 911 Telecommunicators (dispatchers). As a former police/fire/EMS/911 dispatcher herself, she understands the unique culture and challenges of working as a first responder.
In her free time, Michele enjoys walking or hiking in nature, reading mystery novels, and playing board games with her friends and family.
