Shelly is a Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University. Her training helps her see a variety of ways to approach problems in the context of each person’s system of relationships.

Giving careful consideration to her clients’ concerns, Shelly strives to provide a safe and structured journey toward the growth they desire.

Shelly has experience working with individuals, couples and families in the areas of difficult relationships, depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-worth, grief and loss, trauma, personal development and Christian growth and integration. Drawing on her Christian faith as a source of hope and healing, Shelly extends grace and compassion as she walks with others in their time of difficulty.

Her professional experience includes an Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy, shown by research as one of the most effective interventions for couples in distress. She also has training in the Prepare-Enrich assessment program for strengthening premarital and marital relationships. Her previous career experience includes full-time ministry, with its unique challenges. Shelly and her husband have three adult children.
