Steve Edwards

 

Steve is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker who graduated in the Advanced Standing Program from the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas with a Master of Social Work degree. Steve has an undergraduate degree from Wichita State University in social work. Steve and his wife Julie, who are avid runners, share four adult children and six grandchildren.

 

With over 40 years of experience, Steve has served in a multitude of positions including State Director of Family Preservation Services for Saint Francis Community Services, Clinical Director at Horizons Mental Health Center, Director of Community Based Services at Horizons, and provided therapeutic services at Samaritan Counseling Services in Hutchinson, Kansas.

 

Steve has extensive experience with a range of individual and family challenges. Steve has also conducted many workshops and created numerous training materials. Steve’s current practice focus is working with men who are either single or as they head their families, maintain a work (or retired) life, and establish their own purpose. Steve also works with couples to preserve and strengthen their relationship. He and his wife conduct SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) consultations with pre-married couples.

 

As a follower of Jesus, each individual is seen as being a unique creation that is complete only when based on a solid spiritual foundation.
