About Us
Heritage History:
Established in 2003, Heritage has grown into a large network of clinicians who seek to be a steady and reliable source for counseling services for Wichita and the surrounding communities. While our therapists vary in denomination and where they attend church, all of us espouse the same core truths that you can read about in our statement of faith.
We have endeavored to make Heritage a place where people can come to find guidance and healing during times of struggle and hurt, or simply when they want direction or tools to assist in some of life’s most important decisions. We strive to create a welcoming environment where the client feels at home and is able to relax and focus in on healing or growth.
We offer a wide variety of services to meet our clients different needs through our licensed therapists who are well trained, compassionate caregivers that are dedicated to providing the very best in clinical expertise.
It is our hope that we can be a part of seeing individuals and families heal and thrive.
Statement Of Faith:
Heritage Family Counseling Services is a community of therapists who not only profess faith in Jesus Christ but live it out as well. With this in mind, all our therapists agree that the following statement of Faith from the American Association of Christian Counselors summarizes the foundation of their lives. There exists only one God, creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally co-existing in three persons–Father, Son, and Holy Spirit..
The substitutionary death of Jesus Christ and his bodily resurrection provide the only ground for justification, forgiveness, and salvation for all who believe. Only those who trust in Him alone are born of the Holy Spirit and are true members of the Church; only they will spend eternity with Christ.
The Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and renewal for believers in Jesus Christ. He makes the presence of Jesus Christ real in believers, and He comforts, guides, convicts, and enables believers to live in ways that honor Christ.
The Scriptures, both Old and New testaments, are the inspired, inerrant and trustworthy Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of human beings, and the final authority for all matters about which it speaks.
Human nature derives from two historical personas, male and female, created in God’s image. They were created perfect, but they sinned, plunging themselves and all human beings into sin, guilt, suffering, and death.
Ministry to persons acknowledges the complexity of humans as physical, social, psychological, and spiritual beings. The ultimate goal of Christian counseling is to help others move to personal wholeness, interpersonal competence, mental stability, and spiritual maturity.
Insurance & Fees
Insurance
Many of our therapists submit claims to specific insurance companies. If insurance is not filed by the therapist, many clients choose to submit claims for reimbursement to their insurance. Your therapist will provide you with receipts and treatment codes should you desire to do so. Please discuss specific insurance questions with your therapist.
We accept Master Card, Visa, Personal Checks and Debit cards.

Fees
Each therapist sets their own rates per clinical hour. A clinical hour is 50 minutes in length. This allows time for the therapist to complete documentation and prepare for your next session. Auxiliary Services such as reports generated or time in court at the request of a client or their attorney will be charged at rates beginning at $90.00 per hour.
Both Therapeutic and Auxiliary Services are charged by the quarter hour.
